Over the course of my last two years at Hopkins I have decided that Marketing is a career I would like to pursue, and membership in the AMA gives me the opportunity to connect with the marketing community and form relationships with companies that I may intern at in the future.

Dress for Success

The American Marketing Association and AKPsi are proud to announce the first annual “Dress for Success” charity benefit event sponsored by Sandella’s Flatbread Cafe, Maxies Pizza Bar and Grill, and PJ’s Pub. The event will be followed by a short reception with light refreshments as well as a DJ performance by Fishfood. The event will host two Brooks Brothers stylists educating attendees on the fashions appropriate for the workplace, as well as a representative from the featured charity Dress for Success, a not-for-profit organization that helps women enter or re-enter the workplace through coaching and outfitting. The event will conclude with a fashion show where Hopkins students will model the gamut of corporate styles – from business casual to gala ready wear. Come join us for a memorable night of fashion and philanthropy for only a $5 entry fee or a suit or business appropriate clothing donation. Members ONLY: DMC Workshop

We will be hosting a members-only workshop at the JHU Digital Media Center (located in the Mattin Center). This workshop will be hosted by Cameron Zotter, the DMC's Graphic's Specialist with a Master of Fine Arts from MICA. Before studying at MICA, Cameron worked as a designer for National Geographic and his typographic and design work has been featured at major design institutions around the world.
The purpose of this workshop is to expose members to important design principles through video, lecture and design critique, while giving them a basics understanding of Adobe design softwares like InDesign and Photoshop through guided hands-on experience. This workshop is intended to provide participants with a very introductory and basic understanding of design principles and practices, so design novices are encouraged to attend! Ravens' VP of Marketing

Come listen to the Ravens' Vice President of Marketing, Gabrielle Dow, talk at Hopkins! Dow has experience working with three major sports leagues: the NFL, the NHL and the NBA. Prior to joining the Ravens, she spent two years with the NHL’s Florida Panthers, managing the marketing of hockey, concerts and family entertainment, and four years with AEG, marketing the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the Staples Center, Kodak Theatre, and The Forum. After earning both an M.B.A. and law degree from Oregon, Dow began her sports career as a public relations intern for the Portland Trail Blazers.
