NOW Make Appointments Online

• Log in to your J-Connect account
• Go to the Request Appointment Screen (in one of two ways):
• Go to the Home Page and Click the “Request an Appointment” button
• Go to the Calendar Page and Click on the “Counseling Appointment” tab and then on the “New Appointment” button
• Schedule your appointment:
• All appointments are 30-minutes in length
• Choose a particular counselor or all counselors
• Choose the date and time you prefer
• Add any additional notes or information
• Click the “Submit Request” button

   You can cancel an appointment online up to 1 hour before the time it is scheduled to start. You can also reschedule your appointment online anytime.

Who is Eligible?

• All full-time students in the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences
• All full-time students in the Whiting School of Engineering
• Alumni within five years of graduation of full-time Arts & Sciences and Engineering programs
• Students enrolled in the post bac program at JHU

Prepare for your Appointment:

• Log into J-Connect and update your profile.
• Update your resume and bring a printed copy or draft with you
• Prepare questions for your appointment ahead of time

What are Appointments like?

   Appointments are completely confidential and take place in the individual counselor offices. We will also conduct phone appointments for students and alumni who are not in the area. You may request to meet with a particular counselor or meet with the first available counselor. Each of the Career Center's counselors are able to help all students, regardless of major or background. Most initial counseling appointments are thirty minutes. Please arrive five minutes early on the day of your appointment.

Peer Assistant Program

   We have a highly skilled staff of Peer Assistants ready to help you on a walk in basis. Peer Assistants can review your resume, help you identify resources available in the Career Center, and prepare you to network with employers or alumni.

Drop In Hours

   Drop-In Hours are available when classes are in session during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Drop-In Hours begin on January 28, 2013 and end on the last day of spring classes. When Drop-In Hours are not available, such as university holidays, breaks, Intersession, and the Summer Semester, students are encouraged to make an appointment to see a counselor during normal office hours.
