Updates and resources related to Baltimore's Key Bridge collapse

Posted March 26 at 2:27pm

The Francis Scott Key Bridge, a section of the Baltimore beltway (I-695) spanning the Patapsco River, collapsed early this morning after one of its supports was struck by a cargo ship. The beltway is closed indefinitely in this area southeast of downtown Baltimore.

This is an evolving situation, and more information will be forthcoming. Our thoughts are with everyone whose families, friends, and loved ones may be affected by this tragedy.

Many resources are available for our community during this time. At Johns Hopkins Medicine, these services include The Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program, RISE, Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy, and the Office of Well-Being. University affiliates and household members can reach out to The Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program or find student wellness resources at https://wellbeing.jhu.edu/.

This page will be updated as new information becomes available
